Chili’s was founded in March 1975 and has been expanding since from restaurants and new menu items.
Chili’s was founded by Larry Livine in March 1975 and the first one opened in Vickery Avenue in Dallas, Texas. Chili’s became popular towards the public for its affordable foods.
Out of the 1,610 restaurants (as of 2020) there are 7 in Austin. Today I went to the 18901 Limestone Commercial Dr, Pflugerville, TX in Stone hill. This Chili’s is open on Monday- Sunday 10:45Am- 10:30 PM.
I went on a Sunday around 3:30PM we went in it was pretty packed and I was surprised because other times I’ve gone it hasn’t been that full. When we got seated we sat in the “bar area” and the waitress came out pretty quickly to take our drinks. I got Coca-Cola and we got the unlimited chips and salsa.
The chips and salsa came out pretty quickly with our drinks. The chips were really good. They were crispy and they didn’t overpower with salt but they weren’t as salty like regular tortilla chips. The salsa was a 9/10. It had a hint of spice which I look forward to in a salsa and the salsa looked a little watery which was disappointing but the salsa didn’t taste watery which was good.
When the waitress came back we ordered our food. I got the triple dipper with the mozzarella sticks, chicken crispers, and the burger bites. The food did take a while to come out but it was packed so I wasn’t surprised and expected it. Since it was Sunday on the T.V’s there were football games going on and while sitting in the “bar area” there were some crazy football fans who were loud so if you’re not into that I wouldn’t sit there.
When my food came out the first thing I noticed was the smell of the food, the scent was like a fresh meal straight out of the oven. It smelled like the grilled onions on the sliders smelled like a slice of heaven. The second thing I saw was how greasy the mozzarella sticks were and I’m not a big fan of my food being greasy.
The first thing I tried were the mozzarella sticks. I noticed how the triple dipper had three different sauces for all three foods: Marana, honey mustard, and ranch. The crisp of the outside of the stick was great. The cheese pull was there and it didn’t go far but it was still there. The cheese was soft and moist. The only thing I didn’t enjoy from the mozzarella sticks was the greasiness of them but other than that they were good. The marinara sauce was good and wasn’t very overpowering but it wasn’t that good either. Rating: 7.5/10
The second thing I tried were the burger bites and these were amazing. Normally I don’t like stuff on my burgers but this one had onions, bacon, cheese, and a sauce. The combination of the toppings on the burger was perfect. The onions gave it a savory piece to it and the bacon was good, not salty but a bit overpowering when I bit into it the first time all I got was bacon. The mystery sauce was the key to this slider though it gave it a great balance. Rating: 8.7/10
The last thing on my triple dipper I tasted was the chicken tenders. From a glance they were golden and crispy like any good chicken. The taste when I bit into it was amazing. The chicken was juicy and tender. The seasoning on the tender was there. I tasted it and it wasn’t super overpowering like some other chicken I’ve had before. The sauce I used for the tenders was honey mustard and it went really well with the chicken. I think this was my favorite thing of the triple dipper. Rating: 9/10
The last thing I got while eating was the chocolate molten. The chocolate molten is a chocolate cake with a big scoop of ice cream on top and a hard chocolate cover over it also has a drizzle of caramel. The cake was very moist and didn’t have an overflow of chocolate and the ice cream on top was smooth and melted on my tongue. While finishing the cake the warmness of the plate melts some of the chocolate and you have something to dip your cake in while eating. Rating: 10/10
Going to Chili’s was a great experience. The staff was nice and the food was great as well. I loved the food I ate today and the way I’m looking forward to eating at Chili’s again with my family. I rate my food reviewing a 9/10 stars. It was good but the food I was looking forward to didn’t meet my expectations.

The pictures looked really good. I’m glad that the ratings are bolded for quick reads while on a time crunch!
