Chicken pot pie has always been a favorite of mine, and when we started writing food reviews I knew this was what I wanted to do. 

Chicken pot pie is a flaky pastry with a rich savory filling of tender chicken, hearty vegetable, and creamy sauce that makes it unique in its own way. Every Pot Pie has its own Pro’s and Con’s about itself. Whether the texture is right, the chicken is flavorful, or the crust is crispy, so for this review I tried the one my mom makes.

Every time my mom makes the Pot Pie she always spends hours in the kitchen cutting the vegetables, making the chicken, and perfecting the sauce. I was interested in what the steps were exactly so I decided to cook it with her.

She had already made the chicken so we started with the creamy sauce and vegetables in a big pot. After the sauce was ready we put the chicken and veggies together in the pan and put the rest of the pie crust on top.

The Chicken pot pie was so close to being done all that was left were 30 min in the oven, PURE TORTURE for me and the chicken pot pie, the Pot Pie because it’s in 350 degree heat., me because I could smell the chicken, veggies, and crust baking which just smells so good! 

When we took it out of the oven it was a golden crispy color and I couldn’t wait to eat it. After it cooled down I . When I took that bite of the Chicken Pot Pie I expected it to taste like chicken because of the name and I received more than that, the Pot Pie tasted like a creamy chicken veggie blend with a small amount of crust, it was also still warm coming fresh out of the oven which went perfectly with it.

This specific pot pie will not have any bad things said from me, it is the perfect flavor, tasting like chicken, bread, carrots, and peas, with the creamy warmth of the pie,  and everything that you could think of for good things to say about a food/dish. 

I would say this homemade Dish is a million times better than a store bought one. In the store pot, the flavor is just more bland and isn’t very tasteful. It tastes a lot more fake with none of the right flavors mixed in while homemade you can taste all the work and effort put into making this dish with a variety of different flavors.

In the end I would definitely recommend this Chicken Pot Pie giving it 5/5 stars. Making this dish with my mom definitely made the experience a lot more fun and rewarding after spending a long time making it.
