Students return to school after spring break, a week of fun and unforgettable memories that will last a lifetime.
All students enjoyed their week long break off of school and can’t wait for summer which is just a few months away. Even with summer holidays approaching, it is important to revel in all the fun spring break memories.
“Over spring break I went to the movies and the mall with my family, but I wish I had gotten the chance to go to the park and also the pool with my friends like how we did last summer,” seventh grader Sydney Kennedy said.
For Spring break, plenty of kids travel with their loved ones and make many special memories to look back on. For example, Hudson Malone visited his lake house for a little family get away.
“I went to my lake house in Marble falls over spring break with my family,” Malone said. “When me and my sister were in the lake on the tubes, my sister went flying out of the tubes.”
Spring break is a great time to relax for students, just a time for them to rest from the exhaustion that school and sports cause. Just like how seventh grader Ava Griffin spent her spring break.
“Honestly I was so drained from school and the added stress from both club soccer and school soccer was so much for me,” Griffin said. “I just spent my spring break resting up so I can lock in for the last few weeks.”
Very few students at KLMS vacationed internationally but our seventh grade cheerleader Isobel Shaver did.
“I went to London for spring break and the most unexpected thing happened,” Shaver said. “The airport caught on fire and they canceled every single flight so me and my friend were stuck in London.”
After a week of sun and fun it can be hard for students to go back to school, especially with messed up sleep schedules.
“When school started back up again it sucked. I had stayed up all night the night prior and I was so tired,” seventh grader Ciera Lee said.
