With summer coming up, Knights will have lots of free time, and many people like to take a well-needed vacation. During that long break, a vacation is a great way to relax, explore a new place, and spend time with family.
You are probably aware of the simple and common dream vacations like Hawaii, Disneyland, Italy, etc. However, the rare ones do exist.
“I would love to go to the Philippines, to visit my family,” seventh grader Hanna Lim said. “The Philippines is a super cool, unique place. I also want to experience a new type of culture.”
A vacation is a great time to relax, sit by the pool, and sunbathe with a cool drink in your hand. But, some people prefer to go on an adventure like bundling up, climbing onto the ski lift, and then skiing down a mountain.
Some people prefer a winter getaway, such as 7th grader Zoe Wisnieski.
“I really want to go to Canada to go down the Whistler, I love to go snowboarding,” Wisnieski said. “I’d rather go exploring on a vacation instead of just relaxing.”
A vacation is a great way to spend quality time with loved ones. A vacation is always better with a friend, eighth grader Karrington Mack agrees. You always need a companion, whether you’re exploring the desert or relaxing by a fire.
“I really want to go to Brazil with my mommy and take lots of pictures,” Mack says.
On a vacation, you’re able to do fun and unique activities. When you’re in a new country or state, it’s always fun to try out new things. Eighth grader Luci Bonacquisti loves to experience new things.
“I would like to go to Hawaii,” Bonacquisti said. “I want to swim with monkeys too,”
When you’re on vacation, it is great to try new foods. It’s always a great experience trying new foods. It’s always good to expand your food pallet and try things you’ve never had. seventh grader Sydney Kennedy feels the same.
“When I go to Miami, I want to have crawfish and lots of seafood,” Kennedy said.
